About Floating Arcade

Floating Arcade is a one-person, non-commercial collection of browser games. There are no ads, no accounts and nothing for sale. The site exists because a lot of interesting small games are now being made with AI tools — GPT-6 Astra and ChatGPT Sites in particular — and published on free hosting that can vanish without warning. Collecting them in one place, and keeping a playable copy of each, is the point.

What gets listed

Games that run in the browser without installation, are free, and were made by an individual or a small hobby team. The exception, marked Paid right on its card: StoryComet. It's a genuinely paid product, listed because it's worth knowing about — its own page says so plainly and sends you to the original site to actually pay for it, not here. 16 of the current 53 were published through ChatGPT Sites. Every listing shows where the original lives, credits the author, and states which devices and controls the game actually works with — checked on an emulated phone and on desktop, not copied from the game's own description.

Copies, and why we keep them

Every game here that we could reach is played from a copy stored on this site, not from the original host — 51 of 53. That is a deliberate policy, and it is worth being straight about the reasoning: these games live on free tiers — ChatGPT Sites, GitHub Pages, Netlify, Vercel, a personal page — and free tiers go down. Quotas run out, accounts lapse, a project gets archived. When that happens the game stops being playable for everyone, and it usually was not the author's decision. One game in this collection (Migratory) is offline right now for precisely that reason, and it went down before we had a copy.

The copies are byte-for-byte, with two mechanical exceptions: URLs are rewritten so the files load from this directory, and the host's own bot-detection beacon is removed because it cannot work off its own domain. Nothing about the game changes. Anything that needs the author's own server — an online co-op mode, a multiplayer lobby — still needs the original, and the game page says so.

This site is not monetised. No ads, no affiliate links, no subscriptions, nothing for sale; it costs money to run rather than making any. That does not by itself make copying someone else's work acceptable, so the offer below is unconditional.

If you made one of these

Email x8c4dtgfvx@privaterelay.appleid.com and say what you want: the copy removed and the game embedded from your site instead, the listing removed entirely, the credit changed, or a link added. No justification needed and no argument from us — it gets done. If you would rather it just be gone, say that and it will be.

Credits and takedowns

All games remain the property of their authors and rights holders. Fan remakes are labelled as such. If you made one of these games and would like the credit changed, the mirror removed, or the listing taken down, email x8c4dtgfvx@privaterelay.appleid.com — we act on every request.

Embedding

Each game page has an embed snippet. The embedded player carries a small bar linking back to the game's page here; that link is the only thing we ask for in return.
