Why it's worth your time

We tested this with Playwright in headed mode rather than trusting an earlier attempt through this session's own interactive browser-preview tool, which read the model canvas back as flat black pixels. That reading turned out to be a tool artefact, not a broken page: the same WebGL canvas that fails a raw gl.readPixels() call (because the renderer, like most three.js scenes, doesn't set preserveDrawingBuffer) screenshots correctly once Playwright captures the actually-composited frame — exactly the gap tools/capture-cover.mjs's own comments warn about. With a real screenshot in hand, the full nine-part disassembly, the wireframe toggle and the explode slider all rendered and responded correctly, on both a plain desktop context and an emulated phone.
