The post that led here described it as a real-estate developer's site, built to sell land by faithfully recreating it in 3D — and the estate view genuinely is a real, textured island with real materials, not a stock rendering.
Dig past the 3D scene, though, and the site reads less like a live sales operation and more like a portfolio piece. The enquiry form addresses itself to hello@tavora.example and a phone number of all zeros — .example is the internet's reserved placeholder domain, the address a form fills in when there is no real one behind it. A footer link, "Like it? Let's build yours", goes straight to uxier.co, a web design and UX studio's own portfolio. And every route on the site still carries the filename bali.html, a leftover from what looks like a template built for a different island altogether. Whatever its actual commercial status, the build itself is thorough: a WebGL2 island you can walk into three different villas, a working mortgage calculator, a mocked-up client portal with a plot and a planning timeline already filled in, and a small journal of construction updates. No score, no objective — but also no dead ends dressed up as buttons.
How to play Tavora
- The Estate opens on the island itself — drag to orbit, scroll or use the on-screen zoom buttons, and the viewpoint bar (Overview / Ocean / Ridge / Marina / Plan) jumps straight to a vantage point.
- Click a numbered plot on the island to open its villa panel: switch between the three house designs (Courtyard, Pavilion, Horizon), toggle the pool, landscape, material palette and outdoor pavilion, and watch the estimated project budget update as you do.
- Configurator is the same villa panel full-screen, with Exterior / Living / Bedroom / Bathroom / Plan view buttons and a Reveal interior toggle so you can look inside the model, not just at it.
- Ownership has the actual mortgage calculator: drag the property budget, down payment, interest rate and loan term sliders and the monthly payment, loan amount and total interest recalculate live.
- Journal and Client portal are read-only — construction updates and a mocked buyer dashboard respectively, with no login required.
- Contact builds an email to the site's own (placeholder) address rather than submitting anything anywhere — press Prepare enquiry and it hands off to your mail client.

Why it's worth your time
The configurator is real state, not decoration: switching Courtyard to Pavilion updates the floor area and bedroom count in the header and reshapes the model, and picking a pool or a material genuinely changes the cost breakdown shown underneath it.
The island itself is lit rather than baked: a day/night toggle in the top bar changes the lighting on the fly, and there's an ambient coastal soundtrack with its own mute button.
It ships in three languages (English, Português, Русский) from a menu panel, which is more localisation effort than most of the actual games in this collection bother with.
