Brick by Brick is a pile of 32,594 plastic bricks and a request to sort them by colour. You pick a colour from the tray at the bottom, then click every brick of that colour to clear it, turning the camera as you go to find the ones buried underneath. That is the entire game, and it is far more absorbing than it has any right to be.
Its author, Myke38, built it in Three.js with Claude and posted it with a challenge attached: at the time, nobody had cleared the pile. There is an online leaderboard for the people who get furthest.
Note the trademark: LEGO is a trademark of the LEGO Group, which has nothing to do with this game. These are generic plastic bricks in a browser.
How to play Brick by Brick
- Press Play and wait while the pile is generated — all 32,594 bricks are placed by the game as it loads, which takes a moment.
- Pick a colour from the tray along the bottom. The number under each swatch is how many of that colour are left.
- Click (or tap) the bricks of that colour to remove them.
- On a mouse: left-click and drag turns the pile, the wheel zooms, and dragging with the middle button moves up and down. On a touch screen the game shows its own set of gestures instead — it has separate guides for both.
- There is a music player in the top-left corner if you want the soundtrack while you dig.
Click Fullscreen above the game for the largest play area. If the game does not load, use Open in new tab to play it directly from our copy.
Why it's worth your time
The pile is generated rather than authored: the bricks are dropped into place at load time, so the arrangement is not the same every visit and there is no fixed order to memorise.
Thirty-two thousand individually clickable objects in a browser is the technical achievement here, and it holds a steady frame rate while you rotate the whole heap.
It is the only game in the collection made with Claude rather than GPT-6 Astra, which is why it carries its own tag. The leaderboard runs on the author's own backend, so scores can only be submitted on the original site — our copy plays the game, not the competition.
