You are a piece of conveyor-belt sushi trying to survive until the restaurant closes. Twist away from hands and chopsticks, dash past plates and discover one of 32 endings.

Sushi Runs Away turns a conveyor-belt sushi plate into the protagonist. Hands, chopsticks and hungry customers reach in from around the belt, and you have to twist the sushi away until the restaurant closes.

The author already provides English and Simplified Chinese locales. This local copy starts in English so the game does not unexpectedly open in Japanese; the built-in language menu remains available, and the original Kei Games Studio page stays linked for attribution.

How to play Sushi Runs Away

  1. Press Start and choose a sushi type.
  2. Hold the pointer or finger down and slide left or right to twist away from a red hand shadow.
  3. Flick upward, or press Up on desktop, to dash and send plates out of the way.
  4. Survive until closing time. You can be grabbed twice; a third grab ends the run.
  5. Replay to discover the game's 32 possible endings.

Controls: Hold and slide left or right to dodge. Flick upward or press Up to dash and knock plates away.

Why it's worth your time

The game makes the usual conveyor-belt perspective absurd: the sushi is trying to escape the customers who are supposed to eat it.

Different customer types create different timing problems, from quick children to chopsticks arriving from above and customers who keep tracking the sushi.

The local copy uses the author's own English text rather than replacing the game's art, physics, audio or ending logic.

How it was made and where it lives

Hosted on the author's own page. The author publishes as Kei Games Studio. Original: https://keigamesstudio.com/baka/nigeru/. The Play button runs a local copy of Kei Games Studio's game with its built-in English locale selected by default. Simplified Chinese remains available in the game's language menu; Japanese is not the default.
