A full arcade racing garage in the browser: twelve cars to inspect and tune, nineteen tracks graded from beginner to expert, and five event types — six-car race, time trial, drift, elimination and a three-round championship.

OVERDRIVE (狂飙赛车) is the most complete racing game in this collection by a distance: twelve cars you can inspect in a 360-degree garage and tune, nineteen tracks graded from beginner road to expert, and five event types — a six-car race, a time trial, a drift challenge, an elimination race and a three-round championship.

Every track comes with a route overview before you drive it: length, elevation change, road width, where the jumps are and where the road splits. It is a browser game that behaves like a boxed one, front end and all.

How to play OVERDRIVE

  1. Pick a car in the garage — drag to spin it, and open the specification panel to compare acceleration, handling and grip. There is a tuning shop if you want to change one.
  2. Choose a track from the atlas. The filters sort them into beginner, intermediate, challenge and expert; the preview shows the route, the jumps and the split sections.
  3. Choose an event: six-car race, time trial, drift, elimination or the three-round championship.
  4. Set the AI difficulty separately — it only affects the opponents, so time trials and drift runs are unaffected by it.
  5. Drive with the keyboard. It needs WebGL 2 and hardware acceleration; it tells you plainly if either is missing.

Why it's worth your time

Nineteen tracks is the number that stands out. Most browser racers ship one loop and a skybox; this one has a graded track list with per-track statistics and route maps, which means the game has to hold up over more than a single drive. Whether every track is distinct is another matter — but the structure around them is real.

The interface is in Chinese and the whole game is one 1.3 MB HTML file. It is a keyboard game and needs a machine with working WebGL 2.

How it was made and where it lives

Hosted on the author's own page. The author publishes as zding. Original: https://gpt-kbsc.0nz.de/. The Play button above runs our own unmodified copy, so the game keeps working here if that page goes down — which on free hosting usually has nothing to do with the author. Nothing about the game itself is changed, and the original stays linked from every page.
