A best-of-three street fight built as an explicit homage to the 1984 arcade game Urban Champion (the game says so on its own title screen): push your opponent back down Sunset Street and into the open manhole to take the round. High and low punches, high and low guards, and a dodge.

Street Kid (街头小子) is a best-of-three street fight built as an open homage to the 1984 arcade game Urban Champion — the title screen says so itself, crediting "URBAN CHAMPION" in English right under the Chinese title, with the tagline "A LITTLE STREET. A BIG FIGHT." and "守住你的街头" (guard your street). We are calling it Street Kid on this site rather than Urban Champion, since that name would otherwise be confused with the original it is paying tribute to.

The setting is 日落街区 (Sunset District): a sidewalk between a record store, the SUNSET MART and a laundromat, with a phone booth and an open manhole cover as the fight's actual objective — win a round by pushing your opponent back far enough to shove them into it, the same idea the 1984 original built its whole game around.

One of four small games Sonic的奇思妙想 (@sonic0828) posted on X on 9 September 2026 alongside Underground Boxing, Shell Squad 3D and Ski Cross, all made with GPT-6 Astra.

How to play Street Kid

  1. Click 开始对决 (Start) or press Enter. Matches are best of three rounds.
  2. A and D move; J throws a high punch, K a low one; U guards high, I guards low; Space dodges.
  3. On a phone, on-screen buttons replace all of the above: ◀ ▶ to move, 高拳/低拳 to punch high or low, 防高/防低 to guard high or low, and 闪避 to dodge.
  4. Push your opponent back across the sidewalk — connecting punches knocks them toward the manhole at the edge of the screen — and shove them in to take the round.

Click Fullscreen above the game for the largest play area. If the game does not load, use Open in new tab to play it directly from our copy.

Why it's worth your time

It is the more mobile-complete of the two fighting games in this batch: all six inputs — move, both guards, dodge, both punches — get their own labelled on-screen button on a phone, unlike Underground Boxing, which has none.

The win condition is physical position, not a health bar or points — you are watching the fighters' distance from the manhole, not a life total.

The homage is explicit rather than incidental: the English name "URBAN CHAMPION" sits on the title card next to the Chinese title, and the win condition is the same knockback-into-a-hole idea as the original.

How it was made and where it lives

Hosted on the author's own page. The author publishes as sonic0828. Original: https://iamsonic.net/2026/mini-games/urban-champion.html. The Play button above runs our own unmodified copy, so the game keeps working here if that page goes down — which on free hosting usually has nothing to do with the author. Nothing about the game itself is changed, and the original stays linked from every page.
